Cho.S.Ramaswamy-'The Modern age Chanakya'

'You don't need to agree with his views to enjoy his speech'
I became ardent reader of the magazine 'Tughlak' from  mid-2008.Cho-actor,lawyer,journalist,politician,directer,writer..oh!I'm tired of this..Cho himself has said he is in search of his identity.. I became sincere fan of the editor,'Cho'. I knew his witty takes on politics and politicians in his movies, but never expected this much from him. From then onwards he became my inspiration and everything. At first, I found it very hard to agree with some of his views, especially regarding  Sri Lankan issue. But when I realised,he loves this country more than any 'vested interests',I accepted his views.
'Tughlak' has been started in 1970.Even after 41 years,it strictly follows all journalistic ethics. There is no article till sate that refers to any body's personal life.He has impeccable integrity though he takes sides in all issues. He is biased 'towards good'.Why should we unbiased,if one side is 'good' and other one is 'bad'?.Politically he is on Right and always takes pleasure in criticising Communism. His arguments for opposing Communism is just too..
His contribution and commitment to democracy is evident during the Emergency in Indira Gandhi's time.He is a stern critic of Indira Gandhi, when everybody fears her.'Tughlak' was the only magazine in which even the ads were censored at that time.'Tughlak's anniversary function is unique one, asking the readers to question him.
A strong critic of Congress, and never lagged behind to lash out at the Nehru family for their wrongs. He has never hesitated to criticise the wrong policies of even Nehru though everyone idolises him.
A strong strong[put as much 'strong' as you wish] critic of all terrorist organisations[all wing extremists, right, left,Islam etc].It even includes LTTE and Naxals with whom most of the people sympathise. He has been a critic of LTTE from its birth and never contradicts his views till now.His stand is vindicated in most of the issues.
He condemns the Babri Masjid demolition though he supports the 'Ram Jenma boomi movement'.As a sign of protest,'Tughlak's front page cover was black after the demolition. He is an admirer of Mr.Advani and Narendra Modi.He is perhaps the only journalist in TN and few in India to support Narendra Modi and praises him for his good works with out the 'fear' of being branded as 'communal'.
He is strongly opposed to Women's Reservation Bill in parliament.[After reading his arguments I myself changed my stand].How many time have I used the term 'strong'?but what to do? he is extremely straight forward. He has been making alliances for many elections now,his visits to political leaders always make news.A strong critic of Kalaignar's atheist and corrupt policies,he attacks DMK's governance for 6 years in a row now..but his attack started even from the birth of DMK.For some time,he strongly criticised Jayalalitha's politics too[1991-1996].
Every Wednesday afternoon,I eagerly awaits the 'Tughlak' issue in news stands.A true patriot, democrat, fearless and brave journalist, strong believer in God and Hinduism, stern critic of terrorism and violence,a honest citizen,he remains my inspiration.

                                                       I SALUTE YOU SIR
